Siargao

The surfing capital of the Philippines: island-hopping, lagoons and palm-lined roads off the coast of Surigao del Norte.

About Siargao

Siargao is a teardrop-shaped island in the Philippine Sea, best known for Cloud 9 and the surf that brought the world here. Beyond the waves there are tidal pools, mangrove forests, and islands a short boat ride away.

Getting there

Fly into Sayak Airport in Del Carmen, or take a ferry from Surigao City to Dapa. General Luna, where most places to stay and eat are, is about 45 minutes by road from either.

When to go

March to October is the dry season. The big surf arrives from August to November.
