Terms of Service
Draft prepared September 10, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and the registered company that operates BooqaPlace ("BooqaPlace", "we", "us"). They cover the BooqaPlace website and everything you can do on it. By signing in or booking, you accept them.
1. Who we are
BooqaPlace is operated from the Philippines by registered name, registered under DTI or SEC registration number, with its principal office at registered address. You can reach us at support@booqaplace.com or through our contact form.
2. What BooqaPlace does, and what it does not do
BooqaPlace is a marketplace. Independent venues list the courts and spaces they run, and you book a slot with them through us. The booking is a contract between you and the venue, not between you and BooqaPlace. We do not own, operate, staff, maintain or inspect any venue listed here.
What we provide is the listing, the calendar, the booking record and the messages that keep both sides informed. The venue provides everything you are actually paying for.
3. Your account
- You sign in with a Google account. Keep it secure, because anyone who can open it can book in your name.
- You must be at least 18 years old to book. A minor may play at a venue, but the booking has to be made by an adult who takes responsibility for it.
- The name and phone number on your profile reach the venue you book with. Keep them accurate, or the venue cannot confirm your slot.
- One person, one account. Do not book on behalf of a business you are reselling to without telling us.
4. How a booking is made
Choosing a slot creates a request, not a confirmed booking. The venue confirms it, and until it does the slot is not yours. A venue may decline a request, and some venues confirm only after they have seen a downpayment arrive.
Prices, opening hours, court details and house rules are set and published by the venue. We show what the venue has told us. Where a listing turns out to be wrong, the venue is the one who has to put it right, and we will help you reach them.
5. Paying
Two arrangements exist on BooqaPlace, and the venue chooses which:
- Paying through the app. You are sent to a checkout page hosted by PayMongo and pay there, usually by GCash. PayMongo handles the payment; we never see or hold your card or wallet credentials.
- Sending the venue a downpayment. The listing shows the venue's own GCash details and the amount. You send it in the GCash app, tell us you have sent it, and the venue confirms once the money arrives.
In neither case does BooqaPlace hold your money on your behalf. Send a downpayment only to the details shown on the venue's own page, and never to details given to you some other way.
6. Our fee
BooqaPlace charges a service fee on a booking. It is shown separately from the venue's own price before you commit, so the total you see is the total you pay. When the fee is refundable is covered in Cancellations and refunds.
Say here whether the fee is charged to the guest or deducted from the venue, and whether it carries VAT.
7. Cancelling, moving and not turning up
Each venue sets its own cancellation policy, and it is shown on the booking form before you commit and on the booking afterwards. The platform-wide rules that sit above it are in Cancellations and refunds.
8. What we ask of you
- Book slots you intend to use, and turn up for them.
- Follow the venue's rules once you are there. They govern the place, we do not.
- Do not use BooqaPlace to resell slots, scrape listings, probe the service for weaknesses, or impersonate anybody.
- Do not arrange with a venue to take a booking off the platform to avoid the fee after finding it here.
9. Anything you upload
Photographs, names and descriptions you add stay yours. You give us permission to show them where they belong in the service. What may be uploaded, and how to report something that should not have been, is in Content and takedown.
10. Safety at a venue
Sport carries risk, and the venue is responsible for the condition of its courts, its equipment and its premises. Injuries, damage and lost property at a venue are a matter between you and that venue. BooqaPlace is not a party to it.
11. What we do not promise
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise that a venue is available, that a listing is accurate, that a venue will confirm your request, or that the site is never down. We do promise to run it with reasonable care and to fix what we can.
12. Limits on what we owe you
Where the law allows a limit, our total liability for any claim connected to a booking is limited to the service fees you paid us on that booking.
Nothing here removes rights you have by law. Your rights under the Consumer Act of the Philippines and the Internet Transactions Act of 2023 stand whatever this document says, and a clause that conflicts with them does not apply. Have counsel confirm this limitation is enforceable in the form you want to use.
13. Suspending an account
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used fraudulently, or that we are required to act on. Where it is fair to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance to answer. Bookings already confirmed and paid for are honoured or refunded.
14. Complaints
Take a problem with a slot to the venue first, since they are the ones who can fix it. If that goes nowhere, write to us through the contact form and we will look at the booking record and mediate. We aim to answer within number of business days.
You can also complain to the Department of Trade and Industry, and to the National Privacy Commission for anything about your personal data. Using us first does not cost you that right.
15. Changes
We can change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and a change that materially affects you will be announced in the app before it takes effect. Bookings already confirmed are governed by the terms in force when they were made.
16. Law and venue
Philippine law governs these terms, and the courts of city where the company is registered have jurisdiction. Electronic records and the acceptance you give by using the site are valid under the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000.
