Alegria Beach

Alegria Beach is about as far as you can drive from General Luna and still be on Siargao, and that is the appeal. The beach runs long and wide, the water is calm and clear, and on most days you share it with a handful of people at most.

Make a day of it: the ride up the island takes a couple of hours by motorbike or van, so leave early and bring food and water, as there is little to buy nearby. It pairs well with a stop at the Santa Monica town proper on the way back.
